

Botanic Gardens
Located on the Western side of Willans Hill Reserve, this 20 hectare garden complex offers much to see and do. This includes a zoo (see below), minature ride-on-trains, museum, restaurant, kiosk, barbecue area & Free Flight Aviary.
Wagga Zoo
Set on the southern side of The Botanic Gardens, The Zoo comprises over 300 birds and other animals including kangaroos, emus, birds, pigs, donkeys, wallabies and goats.
Victory Memorial Gardens
The Victory Memorial Gardens are located in the centre of the city and set along the banks of the Wollundry Lagoon. It offers large grassed areas, a children's playground and plenty of rest areas under the shady trees.
Lake Albert
Lake Albert is one of Wagga's most popular recreational facilities. It caters for boating, fishing, swimming and other aquatic activities. With a walking/cycling track, barbecue facilities and a children's playground, it's the perfect place for families.
Wagga Beach
Wagga Beach, home of the "5 o'clock wave" is a popular location for canoeing. With beach sand along the water's edge and large grassed areas, the beach provides a great spot for a barbecue and a swim in the cool waters of the Murrumbidgee River.
City Centre
The city centre of Wagga Wagga is a feature in itself. Full of sculptured gardens, art work and countless trees, it is surely one of the most picturesque cities in regional NSW.
Collins Park
The tranquil setting of Collins Park provides the perfect family escape. Located in the centre of the park is a playground for the kids with mature trees providing plenty of shady spots.
Murrumbidgee Turf Club
Just down the road from the All Seasons Pavilion, the Turf club has many feature meetings all year round. The Wagga Gold Cup is run in May each year and attracts lots of good horses, trainers, jockeys and media from NSW and VIC. With fashions on the field, live music and a great atmosphere the cup is a must do on Wagga's sporting and social calendar.
Wagga is known as the city of good sports, with many national sporting heroes having grown up here. Some of the many competitions include; Rugby league, Rugby Union, Aussie Rules, soccer, hockey, tennis, touch football, softball, basketball, harness and greyhound racing.
